Department of Commerce
The Department of Commerce is a prestigious and dynamic department of the college, dedicated to the study of business, management, and finance. The department offers undergraduate degree (3/4 years programme) under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for the students. The department imparts knowledge on various aspects of commerce, including accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management, and international business, using modern pedagogy and innovative teaching methods. The department organises seminars, workshops, and conferences on contemporary issues, such as entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and digital marketing. Students of the department are encouraged to participate in different extra-curricular and other activities, such as business plan competitions, management fests, and industry visits. The teaching-learning process of the department also aims to equip the students of the subject to be able to pass competitive exams, such as UPSC, NET, and other state-level exams, and pursue professional courses like CA, CS, and MBA. The department also encourages students for research-related activities through encouraging them to prepare for UGC NET examinations that enables students for higher studies in the subject.
